The spirit of rodeo season came alive on Saturday morning as the Silver Spurs Rodeo Parade proudly rode through Downtown St. Cloud, filling the streets with excitement, tradition, and a whole lot of cowboy charm. Under a bright Osceola County sun, rodeo fans of all ages lined the streets, waving to a star-studded lineup of riders, royalty, and local legends.
The festivities were emceed by none other than Osceola County Commissioner Ricky Booth and rodeo enthusiast Clayton Woeste, who kept the crowd engaged and the energy high. The parade was a true showcase of the Western way of life, celebrating the people and traditions that make Osceola County the heartbeat of Florida’s rodeo scene.
Legends, Queens, and Cowboys – Oh My!
The parade was a who’s who of rodeo royalty and local heroes, with appearances from:
- 👑 Miss Silver Spurs Queen – waving proudly from atop her horse, representing the grace and grit of the rodeo tradition.
- 🐴 The Silver Spurs Iconic Quadrille Team, renowned for their breathtaking precision on horseback. This legendary team, known as the “Quadrille in the Sand,” proudly represented Osceola County at the prestigious Rose Parade in Pasadena, California, last year.
- 🐎 Equestrian teams from the McCormick Research Institute – showcasing their horsemanship and dedication to therapeutic riding programs.
- 🚔 Osceola County Sheriff’s Office – riding in style, protecting and serving with pride.
- 🤠 Members of the Silver Spurs Riding Club’s Coca-Cola Cowboys and Lifetime Achievement Award Winners, who’ve spent decades keeping rodeo traditions alive.
- 🚓 The St. Cloud Police Department, St. Cloud Fire Rescue, and St. Cloud JROTC, marching with precision and pride.
- 🎙️ Greg Simas, the unmistakable voice behind the action as the official announcer of the Silver Spurs Rodeo.
- 🤡 The ever-entertaining John Harrison, a beloved rodeo clown and barrelman whose antics had the crowd laughing from curb to curb, and of course, the Silver Spurs Rodeo Parade featured Country singer Kenyon Lockry and his band performing for the crowds!
