Meet Peach & Me – Riding Through the Snowy Keweenaw!
Hi everyone! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share a glimpse of my latest ride. I’m almost 58 and have been riding horses for most of my life—it’s a passion that has shaped who I am.
Meet Peach, my incredible 20-year-old Icelandic-Arab mare. She’s my trusted dance partner, full of spirit and heart. And yes—she’s gaited! ❤️ Riding her is such a joy, especially in the breathtaking winter wonderland we call home.
We live in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, right in the heart of the Keweenaw Peninsula, which means we’re surrounded by stunning snowy landscapes and crisp, fresh air. This year, we’ve already seen over 250 inches of snow, making for some truly magical rides through this winter paradise.
There’s something truly special about riding through deep snow, feeling the bond with your horse, and embracing the beauty of nature in its purest form. No matter how many years go by, the joy of being in the saddle never fades.
Looking forward to connecting with fellow riders—whether you’re seasoned equestrians or just starting your journey. Let’s share stories, tips, and our love for these incredible animals!
🐴❄️🏔️ Happy trails!
