Town With No CarsThe town was sleepy when we visited, but we talked to a few locals who lived at Miss Kitty’s boarding house. We were told that the town has live music every Saturday night and that the Allman Brothers played here at a big Woodstock-style festival in 1970.

Automobiles are not allowed inside the downtown area; people still use horses and horse-drawn vehicles to travel downtown. Town rules are posted next to the town welcome sign.
