In the current state of events, it is not surprising to see a popular face get caught in a viral scandal, completely opposing the values they are popular for promoting. However, currently making the headlines is the American political social media influencer Harry Sisson, whose Snapchat scandal has led to many voices rising against his actions.
Born in 2002, Harry Sisson is a 23-year-old TikTok influencer who started posting on the social media app in 2020, while pursuing his higher studies. Currently, he is a student at New York University. His account gained attention after he posted a series of videos supporting the Democratic President Joe Biden back in high school. Sisson has since risen in fame and met popular political figures such as former Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
Currently, the Democrat content creator and influencer has been caught in a humongous social media scandal. As per the posts going viral on X, Sisson allegedly convinced nearly a dozen women to share explicit photos of themselves via Snapchat. One of these women is also believed to be a domestic abuse survivor as per @ExxAlert’s tweet. Another X user Sarah Fields, who goes by @SarahIsCensored and is a Republican State Delegate revealed more about the scandal. She posted a tweet writing that after the women discovered each other one by one, he called them all insane and attempted to coerce one of them into telling the public that the photos were ‘fake.’
Fields plugged in the videos and “receipts” of another woman named Carlee who goes by @carlehosch on TikTok went live on the app and shared how Sisson was leading on multiple women for the nine months he was talking to her. She described how Sisson “wooed” her and called her “wifey material”. She even created a private chat with him, only for him to lead her on for six months and then end the conversations with the fact that he didn’t want commitment. Directly, after this she saw him posted a “thirst trap” of him with his new girlfriend.
All over X, people are sharing snaps sent by Sisson to multiple women, claiming to all that he had “no roster.” Since then many women have come out on TikTok sharing their stories with Sisson and attaching snaps of their conversations with him on Snapchat and Instagram.
Social media reactions to Harry Sisson’s scandal
Social media users have been criticizing Sisson for his behaviour. Fields tweeted how “the videos are not receiving much traction. Harry Sisson continues to collect millions of views for his videos claiming that he is a supporter of women and a champion for women’s rights.” While some have come out to speak in support of the influencer with 1.8 million followers on TikTok most disregarded him with comments like “The same guy who lectures everyone on “morals” and “decency” behind a camera… and this is what he’s doing in private. Can’t make this stuff up.” Sisson is yet to comment on these allegations.
